![Eleven months ago, I ended The Road Goes Ever On. You should know, though, that it continues. The trail has been picked up, and the time of blossoming has arrived! My mind is clear, each day is more satisfying than the last, and the world around me has never felt so real.
The Apiary is what came of these months of solitude. It is an archive of the beautiful nature and sounds and man-made things that I see and hear. As intangible and fleeting as a website may be, it is a place to remember and to encourage — a way to remind myself of where I’ve been and where I will go. And what would my world be without music? Porcelain Raft reminded me of this last night with his latest, “Put Me to Sleep.” What a surreal consciousness sound can create!
