Teen Daze :: Let’s Fall Asleep Together

Premiere | Dream Cop :: Warm Thrash (MillionYoung Remix)
It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Blacksburg, Virginia’s Dream Cop, but that’s soon to change. He’s got a five-song EP entitled Basement Tapes coming out December 7th on Output Noise Records, and this “Warm Thrash” remix is the first taste from that release. Taking the original version and adding hints of his signature sound, MillionYoung turns this one into his own, especially during the last two minutes. It twinkles quite a bit more than Dream Cop’s original, but that’s to be expected with Mike Diaz in the mix.
It’ll be featured alongside both the original and extended versions of “Warm Thrash,” and accompanied by the title track and another remix, so be sure to grab the EP in December.
PREMIERING: MillionYoung ∆ Desperate Measures
From the limited-edition CD being sold on MillionYoung’s current tour comes a brand new song from Florida’s Mike Diaz. With a lone bass pedal opening to the sound of soft guitar chords and a distant, whirring synth, “Desperate Measures” feels reflective. In echoes and close loops, Mike’s voice drifts into central focus, but soon fades away — replaced by vibrant effects that carry the song to its relaxing end.
After this mesmerizing track, the release of two EPs and a collection of various other singles, MillionYoung is finally releasing his debut full-length in January on Arcade Sound Ltd. So, stay tuned for updates on that release along with anything MillionYoung, because based on everything he’s done so far, I’m quite certain I’ll be covering it.
