Redwave :: A Long Time
Redwave was journeying in some other world when he recorded his last release, “Skyhopping,” but with “A Long Time,” he’s come back with his magical guitar and scratchy vocals in hand. He posted it about a week ago on his SoundCloud with no announcement, so if you like to ride his sleepy redwaves, it may be in your best interest to check it frequently. Rediscovering | Redwave :: Sparkle
Redwave is the project of Magic Fingers member Jed Flaherty. He was kind enough to send over his latest song, “Skyhopping,” which led to my “rediscovery” of the gentle progressions and nighttime wonder of his older tracks “Sparkle” and “Trails.” There’s just something about the thick, echoing guitar chords among the hissing static and distant, unintelligible shouts that feels far away, but red shifts to blue and it’s all so very warm.
I’ve only posted these earlier songs below. They blend perfectly together. I hope they sooth your soul. “Skyhopping” tomorrow.
