Rollerskaters :: Boyhood

I was always more interested in rollerblading when I was a kid. My riding gang and I thought the kids not on blades were posers. “Lose those big, goofy wheels, one line is all you need,” we’d think. I never thought I would end up liking Rollerskaters - especially even after I started to dislike rollerbladers - but they turned out to be capable of making some rather catchy songs. One of their newest, “Boyhood,” comes from their upcoming EP and can be yours, below. Also, check out “Sleep Tight,” which appeared on my Showstoppers compilation. [photo]

Jet Sound :: Rollercoaster
Jet Sound’s “Rollercoaster” is scratchy yet refined. It’s got tropical guitar chords covered in a layer of sandy lo-fi charm, but stays clean and clear with rinsed off bass line, landing it somewhere between the sound of Tennis’ “Marathon” and Rollerskater’s “Sleep Tight.” Download it below and be sure to watch the rollercoasting rollerskater enjoying some time in the park with her dog in the video above, made by Nadine and Tanya Byrne. Plus, if you’re curious where this came from, Look here.
