Finally, my favorite Swedes are back, and they certainly didn’t lose their ability to transform R&B bangers into lush, balearic soundscapes. “Let Them” samples Akon classic “Right Now,” and right now, it’s making me feel great. Swedish label Sincerely Yours dropped the new track today along with the xx “Intro”-sampling “I’m the One/Money On My Mind.” Download both here, or below. I’ve missed these guys greatly. ceo ∆ Come With Me
“Come With Me” is the the first song by Tough Alliance’s Eric Berglund’s side-project to be released since the wonderfully mysterious “Prologue” surfaced back in March. The video was directed by Sweden’s Marcus Söderland. ceo’s debut, White Magic, is due out 29 June in the U.S. and 2 July in Australia on Modular People.

As Pitchfork’s Larry Fitzmaurice guessed, it turns out that the man in the mysterious “ceo - prologue” video Sincerely Yours put up last week is actually a new project from Eric Berglund of The Tough Alliance. His debut album as ceo, White Magic, is due out 29 June 2010 in the U.S. (28 June in Europe and 2 July in Australia/New Zealand). Swedish label Sincerely Yours released this mysterious video today, featuring a war-painted, unidentified explorer who may be person behind the currently unknown project, ceo. I suppose we could sit and speculate as to who/what ceo is (much like with the now-revealed iamamiwhoami viral campaign), but I think I will just wait for the official statement and save myself the trouble. However, if you feel like piecing together a collection of bizzare and seemingly unrelated facts, like this one for starters, “ceo arises in 1981 and 1891. in 3064 and tomorrow. after ibrahimovic and before nectanebo II. before the dark ages and after spring break. before time was, ceo is,” check out ceo’s biography right here.
