Teen Spirits ∆ Silent Rooms
Teen Spirits is the new side-project Hooray! mastermind, Ben Wagner. In his message, he stated that this project will focus around hip-hop beats while maintaining the “dreampoppiness” of Hooray!. Judging by the sound of “Silent Rooms,” it seems like he hit the nail on the head. This is some fine dreamhop. Be sure to check out the Modest Mouse cover, too, because it’s great.

Bon Iver ∆ Come Talk to Me (Peter Gabriel cover)
As part of his Scratch My Back cover album, Peter Gabriel requested for the bands that he covered to repay him with the same treatment. One of these bands was Bon Iver, for whom Gabriel recorded an amazing rendition of their song “Flume.” Last Saturday, Record Store Day, Bon Iver’s response came in the form of a beautiful cover of Gabriel’s “Come Talk to Me,” which you can download below. The song is found on an exclusive 7” single that includes the aforementioned “Flume” cover.
