Premiere | Dream Cop :: Warm Thrash (MillionYoung Remix)
It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Blacksburg, Virginia’s Dream Cop, but that’s soon to change. He’s got a five-song EP entitled Basement Tapes coming out December 7th on Output Noise Records, and this “Warm Thrash” remix is the first taste from that release. Taking the original version and adding hints of his signature sound, MillionYoung turns this one into his own, especially during the last two minutes. It twinkles quite a bit more than Dream Cop’s original, but that’s to be expected with Mike Diaz in the mix.
It’ll be featured alongside both the original and extended versions of “Warm Thrash,” and accompanied by the title track and another remix, so be sure to grab the EP in December.

Hooray’s Ben Wagner is nothing short of prolific, consistently releasing irresistibly ethereal songs for free on both his SoundCloud and bandcamp. This time, he’s added soft new layers and beats to a favorite of mine, Teen Daze’s “Shine On, You Crazy White Cap.” Download both the original and the remix below, and head over to Wonder Beard Tapes to pre-order Hooray’s debut cassette, Bedroom Adventures, and be sure to check back at Wonder Beard for info on Teen Daze’s upcoming Four More Years tape.

Blackbird Blackbird ∆ Hawaii (NIVA Remix)
Blackbird Blackbird’s “Hawaii” has been through it’s fair share of remixes, first Sunvisor, then Teen Daze, and now NIVA. Taking a song that already glides like a parachute through the air, Sweden’s Christian Niva has added even more warm air beneath the fabric to let it fall ever so slowly. He’s got an album, Feverish Dreams, coming out in later this year, but for now you can click here to download two tracks and here to stream another.
